Our Services
-
Coaching allows students to understand themselves better. It is about guidance, not advice. It’s about developing the self with clarity and depth. It’s also about the various areas of student life: managing time and stress, balancing school and activities, and learning how to perform at an optimal level. Coaching mixes a therapeutic approach with pragmatic solutions.
-
We take a mentorship approach when teaching, working closely with students to understand their personalities, pathologies, and ways of learning. Connecting students to material, in order to contextualize within a greater worldview, is prioritized.
-
Ranging from middle school through college and beyond, advising takes into consideration all personal, academic, and extracurricular planning decisions, and is continually adjusted to accommodate a student’s changing goals while paralleling a student’s growth.
-
College admission counseling really starts with the coaching work we do prior, often years before a student is ready to apply to college. By understanding students as individuals and supporting their development, our college admissions counseling acts as a continuation of that development. We partner with students from beginning to end, building a multi-year academic plan, and focusing on the big picture while addressing the most minute of details.
“for Chestnut State students, learning is not about academics, but about themselves”
